They can become dumping grounds and it’s just too easy to keep filling them up! It’s certainly a place people tire of cleaning up and tidying as these areas are large and take up a lot of time to organise.
Lofts, garages and sheds are the go to place to store things that don’t have a home. How often do you find yourself saying “just put it in the loft”? Naturally these areas will then build up quickly with all sorts of things.
I can suggest better storage systems and moving items that just don’t belong there. I can also set up a storage plan for the items you use more regularly so they are closer to hand. These spaces can also be a great place to create memory boxes for precious sentimental items.
What I do
Why are these areas so hard to declutter?
Lofts, garages & sheds are extremely handy places to store things. They are out of sight and out of mind. This is why clutter builds up very quickly and its hard making head way with them.
I can sort through your belongings with you or on my own. I just need to be pointed in the right direction of what you do and don’t want to keep.
Do you take items to the charity shop?
I am very happy to do this for you. I have a large car and can fill the boot each visit for a cost of £10. All donations will be taken to Thames Hospice Charity Shop, Windsor.
What supplies do you bring?
Cardboard boxes. Bin liners. Pens. Large post-it notes to label up boxes. Anti-bacterial wipes. Stapler. Paper. Elastic bands. Scissors.
